Dedication

This site is dedicated to the memory our very first Bengal cat - Leo

He had congenital problems and was born flat-chested.

My vet and I frantically tried to keep him alive for the entire 4 months that he was here.

But, he sadly died from multiple organ failure at just 6 months old.

What a beautiful, gentle and exceedingly brave little chap he was.

It was such an honour to care for him.  We did everything we possibly could have done.

He never really grew (weighing just 2.15kg at his heaviest).Nevertheless, he was a splendid sight to see - prowling around the garden and...

pouncing on poor little...  daisies!

BengalLeo

I don't know how he managed it, but he was a very content little soul!

He trusted me implicitly, despite all the intrusive veterinary treatment he had to endure.

Perhaps he knew we were trying to help him and that we loved him dearly.

Gone, but never, ever to be forgotten.

The gap Leo left was too great to bear...   So, I am delighted to say that we now have a pair of healthy Bengal cats living with us! Leilo and Tica

I take a lot of photos of these little hooligans! Here is a silly, yet (almost!) true story, using some of these photos.

It illustrates the crazy antics and possessive nature of Bengal cats...  I hope

you enjoy it.

The Great Bengal Battle of "Sparkly Thing"

...The Great Bengal Battle of Sparkly Thing was frantic - way too frantic for photos.

It was bravely-fought by both.  But, there had to be a winner... and this time, it was Sir Leilo.

And so exhausted was he, that he lay down exactly where he had won, had a

... and fell into a deep, deep sleep, surrounded by the spoils of war...

Bengal

So, not for the first time, poor little Lady Tica found herself utterly destitute.

She asked herself the same question that she had asked herself so very many times before, which was...

"Eh?"

Bengal

She was left with just one single, measly strand of Sparkly Thing to her name.

Bengal

She could have cried.  But, she did not!

She held back those tears, closed her eyes very tight and thought hard about what to do next...

Bengal

She remembered how she'd got herself out of far worse fixes than this in the past!...

... like being lost in a spaceship...

... and surviving in the jungle.

Bengal

She simply had to get some of that Sparkly Thing for herself!

So, after making sure that Sir Leilo was completely unconscious...

Bengal

... she went right ahead and took some anyway!

Well, a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do!
